New spread for photographer Steven Meisel in the May Issue of Italian Vogue. His subject is actress Eva Mendes, she stared in the romantic comedy Hitch a along side Will Smith. She was also in the movie Training Day a where she played the naked girlfriend of Denzel Washington’s character.

Steven Meisel is a photographer who rarely is photographed or interviewed, that by his own accord. He has been deemed the Supermodel Model Maker and is credited with launching the careers of Sasha Pivovarova, Snejana Onopka, and Coco Rocha. He is also the photographer behind the lens of Madonna’s book “SEX” a.

Eva Mendes, these latest photos by  Meisel are a throw back to the 50s with a twist. As I searched for higher resolution copies of these. I noticed most of the Blogosphere seems not to like the photographs because of the nature or tone of the images.
